Castings for Slides

In large diecasting dies, the slides easily weigh up to 2 or 3 tons each. During the injection phase the slides have to be locked and the resulting forces are so strong, that only single castings are the optimum solution.

• we supply the complete process chain, from pattern development and castings to the final machined part
• for pattern-building we use either single-usage polystyrene, or multiple-usage wood
• a wide selection of casting materials are available, usually ductile iron and steel and many kinds of tool-steel
• during machining we take great care to achieve the necessary tolerances for the final die, which typically are + - 0,02 mm. Many surfaces are inside the castings and have to be machined with angular heads and special tools.
• Since the precision surfaces and holes for dowel pins are on separate sides, the castings have to be turned precisely and have to be machined from 11 sides, 6 outside and 5 inside
• We offer to our customers the single steps of this process chain, as well as the complete product. Our focus is specially on short delivery times.
• We manufacture these demanding castings permanently, so that several workers have specialized in this field and work with routine.

We supply these castings to all fabricators of large diecasting-dies in Germany. Our special customers in this area are the Honsel-group and the Volkswagen-group, whose supplier we are for many years.
