Gantry grinding

We offer as a separate service to all customers grinding on a large gantry machine:

• Typical applications are the grinding of guiding rails or reference surfaces
• We are grinding machine beds with lengths up to 8m and widths of 2m, with a maximum heigth of 1300 mm
• With 2 separate heads, one of them rotary to all desired angles, we can grind not only the front sides, but also backsides and inclined surfaces as well as hidden surfaces on the back of the parts.
• The usual scope of delivery includes roughing as well as final milling before grinding, but we also grind surfaces that have been machined by the customer
• We typically grind surfaces for new machine-beds, as well as uprights and tables, as well as old parts of machines during retrofit. The upper picture shows an upright of a milling machine from Deckel-Maho-Gildemeister DMG, for whose retrofit-department we work regularly.

After grinding, the parts are usually painted and then shipped with a quality certificate.

Aluminium-Grinding

The grinding of aluminium is a specialty. The material likes to stick to the grinding wheel and to prevent the grinding of a clean surface.
With more than 20 years of experience in grinding, we are able to overcome these difficulties and to manufacture long plates and bars, sometimes gun-drilled right through, with a perfectly ground finish !
